Project 2 Journal

Shreya D'Souza

SPRING BREAK

28 March (4 hours)

  • Updated my journal to show progress over the last two weeks

  • Thought of some ideas for my second project

  • Unsure if I want to continue with my current project, because I am interested in it I just don't know how to improve upon it in a way that will take me the entire rest of the semester

    • The survival data gives the ages of the patient and the survival - as suggested during my presentation I could have many models showing up at the same time sorted by # of days survived

      • What would the use of this be?

      • Limit on how much of analysis I can do given that it will probably involve machine learning techniques/medical knowledge far beyond mine

  • Other ideas:

WEEK 13

13 April (3 hours)

  • Tried to see if I could at least create the images for viewing on a Windows computer, but Unity kept crashing when I tried to add the plugins to the assets folder

15 April (4 hours)

  • Explored alternative ways of viewing vtk files

  • Found a page on the wiki using vtk.js and followed the tutorial

  • Currently looking at using scripts to alter the visualization

  • Generated as a webpage

  • Need to alter this to have the source be my vtk files

  • Prepared for class presentation

  • Created navigation page to link to all my project deliverables

WEEK 14

colour.mov

  • Explored more Kitware applications

  • Looked at ITK, but found it hard to build from source

  • Came across TomViz, which allows you to look at angular data

25 April (5 hours)

  • Found a way to view my models in Unity using Blender to convert .stl files to .obj files

  • Wrote up Unity tutorial

Unity Model.mov
