If you completed Aarav's activity on Tuesday, you can skip to step 2!
Download SideQuest onto your personal computer (not within Paperspace)
Go to the above link, you may have to create an account. Select "Get SideQuest" from the lefthand menu.
Download the Sidequest Desktop App for your machine type.
Download this folder onto your personal computer
This folder contains two .apk files - one file is to test spatial anchor functionality (RunSpatialAnchor.apk) and one file to to test grab interaction functionality (grabAndScaleAPK.apk)
Everyone will have the chance to run both projects in class (so please have both downloaded)! To start, we will split the class as follows. Please load ONLY the .apk listed with your name below into SideQuest before class. If you load both, the last added file overwrites the previous file.
Eunjin, Connor, Aarav, Feiyue, Sofia: RunSpatialAnchor.apk
José, Mia, Papayaw, Vishaka: grabAndScaleAPK.apk
To load the .apk files onto our Meta Quest 3, we will need to use Sideloading through SideQuest. You will need to plug your headset into your computer. Make sure your headset is turned on to be discoverable.
Please follow this tutorial to load the .apk file onto your headset.
Note: If you have already used Sidequest and have a project already installed, you may get an error when loading a new file. If this occurs, uninstall the existing project from your applications menu on your headset. Then, try loading the .apk file for this activity into SideQuest.
Please bring your charging cord (and any adaptor you may need to plug your headset into your laptop) to class on Thursday!
Open up Applications on your head set

Take a screenshot
Clear the anchors
Try anchoring the models multiple times and consider which of the models (based on size or content may work best for spatial anchors)
