Installing Rhino 3D
Rhino BrownU License Installation Instructions:
- Download Rhino using this address https://www.rhino3d.com/download/ Select "Rhino 7 for Windows or Rhino 7 for Mac
- Once downloaded, open it. You will be prompted to put in your email address and accept.
- On the next screen click "options" bottom left and Use the Zoo server with the following hostname or IP address. Put in the the license server below:
- pwlmcit.ad.brown.edu
- Please note. They must be on campus or using Brown vpn to install and use Rhino: VPN INSTALLER: https://www.brown.edu/information-technology/software/catalog/vpn-f5-desktop-client
Rhino V5 Trial Installation Instructions:
Download the Rhino installer package
Enter your email address and click “Next”
Click “Download English Now” or select another language
Run the installer - Requires local Administrator rights
Click “Install Rhino 5”
Enter license Information
Name: Required
e-mail: Required
Organization: Optional
Choose license type as Evaluate Rhino
Find the License Key in your email
License Key - Enter your 24 character Rhino license key e.g. RH50-XXXX…
Agree to the terms and conditions - Click to read them
Click “Next and "Finish"
Rhino 5 will install and create Desktop Shortcut

For system requirements please click here. Good News! it supports the new Mac M1 chipset.
Rhino is a very power full software, needs a lot of storage and RAM.
8 GB memory (RAM) or more is recommended.
AMD graphics processor recommended on Intel Macs.
5 GB disk space.
40 gigs for downloader and installer
