All you need to Visualize DATA IN THE YURT WITH PARAVIEW
Introduction
This document collects all of the information needed to setup and use Paraview in the Yurt. Paraview is "an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application," developed by Kitware. It has many powerful tools to analyze complicated datasets that benefit from visualization that can yield both qualitative and quantitative insights.
Researchers at Brown's Center for Computing and Visualization successfully ported version 5.6.0 of Paraview to the Yurt, Brown's state-of-the-art VR cave environment. Much of the functionality from the desktop vision of Paraview remains and thus the program can offer powerful insight into data by combining Paraview's analysis and rendering with a 3D VR environment. This page attempts to give succinct instructions for visualizing data in the Yurt!
