Engage
Pre-activity Setup (5-10 mins)
Go to https://app.engagevr.io/register and create an account.
Choose a username and display name (other details are optional). Verify your email address.
Download the Engage app on your Oculus headset.
On your headset, sign in using your username/email and password.
Create and customize your avatar or upload your image to generate one if you have a URL to your selfie.
You are all set!
In-class Activity
Launch Engage on your Oculus set.
Sign in with your email address/username and password.
Please choose one person to follow the Admin instructions and for the other to choose the Attendee instructions
Groups:
Group 1: Michael, David
Group 2: Kota, Melis
Group 3: Laila, Paul
Group 4: Shenandoah, Ross
Group 5: Rachel, Alejandro
Group 6: Hiloni, Ethan
Admin
Click "Start Session" and choose "Content," then click on "All" in the dropdown menu and then "Activity" then look for "Life - Presented by Oxford University," click "Start" and "With Others"
Share your Session ID with the rest of the attendees in your breakout room.
Attendees
Click "Join Session" and "Join Session by ID".
Enter the Session ID shared by your partner.
New Life Simulation (~10 mins each ~20 mins total)
Choose one person to be the "Live Trainer" and the other as "Trainee" (*Note the Trainer should join first)
The "Trainer" should read out the instructions on the panel and the "Trainee" should try to finish the tasks
Once you are done, please swap roles and complete the activity again
