Financial Data Analysis Timed Speed-run in Immersed VR

(Individual, ~20 minutes)


Tasks:

 1) Open https://finviz.com/  in the left window VR screen

 2) Open Activity Board in center window VR screen:

 3) Keep current page (Melvin's In-Class Activity 2) open on right window screen

 4) Capture the following screenshot:

Must satisfy all in screen capture:

Note: You may use controller to help with screen capture. You may also save the screen capture on your phone and upload it onto activity board later (outside of VR environment).

5) Capture at least one other creative arrangement of screens:

6) In Activity Board within VR, type in Activity Board one major insight that you gained from the FinViz infographics (cite a journal or refer to statistics). Include an Observation & Hypothesis. Example:

Collaborative Financial Data Analysis in Immersed 

(Collaborative, ~10 minutes)

1) Create a Room meeting link or join an existing one.

2) Whoever is hosting or displaying, open: https://inria.hal.science/hal-00932606/file/Lam_2012_ESI.pdf

3) As a group, evaluate and discuss the collaborative features of using Immersed or similar VR platforms for data analysis and visualizations in the context of economics, business, and finance.

4) As a group, pick 3 of the scenarios to evaluate in a brief write up in the document (you may choose either to write up your answers while within the VR immersed environment, or you may opt to take off your VR headset).

Collaborative Economics Data Visualization in Meta Quest Horizons Workplace 

(Collaborative, ~10 minutes)

1) Create a Room meeting link or join an existing one with your same group you formed earlier

2) On the whiteboard, as a group, draw out the following Supply & Demand graph.

3) Take a screenshot and post it in your Group Activity Board section.
