An Ontology for Evaluation of Remote Collaboration using AR(2021)
<Key Ideas>
It is important to consider the nuance and behavioral differences of collaboration.
However, evaluating the quality of remote AR collaboration is challenging due to the multitude of aspects that influence the collaborations.
→ therefore “characterization” and evaluation of the AR collaboration is essential as a stepping stone for future researchers designing and evaluating their vr systems. This will allow a more “comprehensive perspective” on the AR collaboration.
Most of the time, remote collaboration requires context-heavy information and data to be exchanged, communicated, and others.
Therefore, assessing different aspects of collaboration itself is essential.
However, applying “conventional evaluation techniques to scenarios of remote collaboration without adapting them can lead to dubious results, falling short to retrieve the necessary amount of data for more comprehensive analysis.”
→ thus, without proper evaluation of AR collaboration process, it is difficult to accumulate errors, mistakes, experience, and data to understand factors influencing the quality of VR collaboration
