Welcome to Jakobi's VR Onboarding Activity! It is an optional event that is intended to introduce you to a common visualization application and allow you to get used to the controls of the Quest. It will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 6PM and shouldn't last longer than 45 mins for the entire session. It requires no prep ahead of time other than charging your headset and setting up your Quest. 

The app that we will use is Nanome AppLab. This is a popular app for visualizing proteins and molecules, and integrates collaborative features. 

Steps

If you would like to do the activity, join the audio channel on #general on the Slack at 6PM. Then, we will walk through the following steps together:

1. Download the Nanome AppLab app from the Quest App Store. 

   1. While it is downloading, open nanome.ai on your computer, click the Login button in the top right, and create an account. 

2. Once the app has finished downloading, open the app and follow the introductory tutorial that walks through controls in Nanome. 

3. Join Jakobi's Room using the following Meeting ID: 653-624-216

4. Congrats! You have joined my session and should see me. From here I will demo Nanome's features.
