Choosing Software to Evaluate

Overview

If you choose to do a software evaluation project, one important task is to choose softwares to evaluate. You have a choice of choosing software that hasn't been evaluated already, or you can choose a pre-existing wiki article from the table below to contribute to. Keep in mind that some software require paid licenses, so it's best to reach out to the creators of the software to obtain temporary access or a free trail via email/phone.

Adding to an existing entry

When adding to an existing entry, go to the table below, find the row for the entry you are changing, and change the "Last Checked By" cell to your name. Then, try to go through the wiki entry to verify that all information is up do date. If you added any additional sections, make sure to keep track of that by writing Y under the appropriate column.

Creating an original entry

When creating an original entry, go to the table below and add a column for the new wiki entry. Add yourself to the "Last Checked By" and "Author/Contributors" columns, and fill in the appropriate time for time last checked. Start filling in the rest of the row with N, Y, N/A, or INC, depending on whether or not the wiki entry contains that information.
